Welcome to Boise 2008 THE LINEN DISTRICT All of us almost certainly have a favorite part of the city we live in or the cities we visit. When visiting a city for the first time, or returning after a long absence, finding that part of the city is part of the fun. Being a part of the development of a new district or the transformation of an old is even better. The current happenings in the Linen District provide the opportunity for doing just that. The Linen District draws its name from its long history as the site of the city's largest linen service company. What is now emerging from the former working neighborhood is an electic mix of businnesses that include a first class coffe house; a unique concept restaurant; a business designed to make use of used or surplus building materials; an import retail store providing unique products from faraway and exotic places; a recently redesigned and upscaled motel; a meeting and convention center and a boutique well worth talking about. Foxtrot Style for Living is hard to describe. It's a boutique in the true sense of the word, offering fashionable clothing, trendy art jewelry and decor, plus many more items you won't finnd anywhere else. So don't be surprised to find a vintage MGTD! Or fresh cut flowers that are flown in from Hawaii! Where else can you shop and browse to the strains of Frank Sinatra and sip on complimentary bottled water? Foxtrot is THE place to go for the latest in fashion trends and where the prices are truly unbelievable. This is owners Tom and Erica Mathew's way of giving back to the community - really. |
