Pret-a-porter part deux

BY RACHAEL DAIGLE

Pret-a-porter part deux

How do you know a first-of-its kind event was a smashing success? A second installment. Foxtrot Style for Living hosted its inaugural Pret-a-Porter fashion show in February, and we fashionistas packed in by the dozens to get good runway-side seats. Store owners Tom and Erica Matthews cleared out the center of their 5,000-square-foot store, installed a for-real runway and put on a pretty big-time fashion show. This week, they'll hit the repeat button and do it all over again. But with all new clothes. And slightly more fabulous set of events.

This time the main event will happen across the street at the Linen Building and a gaggle of exotic cars will gather outside for the ogling. Bands low-fi and The Naughties will provide the music. Foxtrot Style for Living will be open for evening shopping, and artists Suzanne Chetwood and Amber Conger will display a variety of work from eight-foot oil paintings and pottery to Japanese water colors and Conger's bold industrial pieces. Shop and get to know the artists at Foxtrot, but don't miss the fashion show in the Linen Building.

Exotic car show starts at 6 p.m., doors open for the fashion show at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. Foxtrot Style for Living, 1419 W. Grove St., 208-344-0979, foxtrotstyleforliving.com.
