THE MODERN HOTEL ADDS FOOD
The boutique hotel and bar in the Linen District has added Modern Cuisine to its repertoire. It has been serving for about a week.
It's been a long time in the planning to add food service to the hotel's services and to its popular bar. Food and beverage manager
Remi Courcenet, formerly of Le Cafe de Paris, came on board about a year ago to begin the plan.
The menu, created with chef Sean Campbell Brennan, formerly of MilkyWay, includes rich light-bites, panini and salads, leaning
heavily on local ingredients.
The menu prices range from $4 to $14 for items such as ricotta and chorizo tartines ($12) to mixed seasoned nuts ($4) to the
Modern salad, assorted greens with apples, blue cheese and nuts ($6; $8 with smoked trout or grilled chicken).
The grand opening is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Dave Bieter.
The Modern Hotel, Bar and Restaurant, 1314 W. Grove St., Boise. Hours: 5-10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 5 to late,
bar closes at midnight, Thursday through Saturday.
There will be a smaller menu available to guests for room service seven days a week.
